common questions

Not usually. The United States and Canada have strict electrical safety codes (NEC and CEC) that differ from European standards. Equipment must bear a recognized approval label valid for the specific country of use to be legally installed. We manage the Field Evaluation process to ensure your machine meets the required North American safety standards.

In most cases, no. For custom machinery or limited quantities entering the US or Canada, a "Field Evaluation" (or Special Inspection) is the standard path to compliance. This is a one-time approval that is faster and more cost-effective than full "Type Certification".

You ship the machine to our Technical Facility in the Greater Toronto Area. This is where we receive, retrofit, and stage the equipment for inspection before final delivery.

We handle a wide variety of industrial and commercial equipment, including CNC machines, food packaging lines, laboratory devices, and factory automation systems. If it requires electrical power and is intended for the North American market, we can manage the compliance and logistics.

Simply contact us with your machine's electrical schematics, a Bill of Materials (BOM), and the shipping dimensions. We will review the design and provide a comprehensive quote that covers freight, customs, and the specific inspection fees required for the destination country.
